Exploring the city of Leon

On our third day here we were able to do some sight seeing around the city. Right next to our hotel was the huge el Futbol stadium of the Leon Lions & we were lucky enough to find a man to take us to the roof of the building that over looked the stadium.
This was the biggest stadium I've ever seen! It holds 45,000 people!

All of us on the rooftop overlooking the stadium.

We came across one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. We weren't able to go inside, but the exterior was unreal!

When we were driving on our tour bus we spotted this graffiti wall that went for about a mile down the road & immediately asked our tour guide about it....
He told us that behind this wall was a cemetery & the murals/graffiti were done by people that had a loved one pass away. The cemetery was open & we decided to go inside & check it out. I was expecting a normal looking cemetery & I was surprised when we went through the gates.
The cemetery was filled with people visiting loved ones graves & there was even a funeral going on when we went in.

These walls of graves were located in the entrance of the cemetery

When we turned the corner I saw some of the most amazing grave sites I've ever seen. In the Mexican culture they start out with a simple gravestone & every year they add on to it to turn into these amazing memorials for their loved ones. Some of them looked like mini temple structures.

The City of Leon had many beautiful sites to see!

Mexico- Day 2

It has been a beautiful day in Leon, Mexico!  The weather is absolutely perfect with lots of sunshine.
We started our morning bright & early & headed off to our first performance of the day.

At the event, we were able to perform one of our dances, take pictures, & sign autographs for all the kids in the tournament.

At the end of our event we were interviewed by a local reporter. We are so happy to be in Leon & everyone here is so kind & generous. It's been amazing learning about the Mexican culture.

Shopping Time!!!!

The entire time we've been here we've been dying to go shopping. There are so many little markets on the streets everywhere we go, so of course we couldn't wait to see what they had!

Outside our cruiser that's been taking us all around town!

Making a stop at the soccer stadium for the Club Leon Lions!

We had a late night performance at the end of our day where we danced again & then helped hand out awards to the NBA 5X Tournament winners. This tournament is put on throughout all of Mexico, & the best part is everything for the kids involved is 100% paid for through the NBA organization. Including the tournament, hotels, uniforms, etc. Being able to be a part of this makes me feel very grateful & blessed.

Hola Mexico!!

I am so excited to be representing the Phoenix Suns & the NBA for the 5X tournament in Leon, Mexico this weekend!
The Suns Dancers were lucky enough to be chosen to travel internationally this summer for the NBA & we were all so excited when we found out we were going to Mexico!

This morning started out very early at the airport. We had to catch the 5am flight which means most of us woke up at 2am to get ready & off to the airport.

From Phoenix to Houston, then we were off to Leon, Mexico!

We couldn't wait to exchange our American money into Pesos!

When we finally arrived, our first stop was for some real authentic Mexican Food! I've never tasted fresher salsa, that was made right at our table with fresh tomatoes. The best part of our first restaurant experience in Mexico was the live Mariachi band that played on a stage in front of us!

We also had one performance today at the NBA 5X. The crowd was amazing & it was so fun performing at the event!

We've only been here one day & have had so much fun! Can't wait to see what the rest of the weekend has in store!

Outfit of the Day- Look & feel like a Trophy

I have to admit that my go-to every day style is the simple t-shirt & shorts. Living in Arizona & having the hot sunshine, it's the only way to go.
I always want to look fashionable while dressing so simple though. The best way I do this is adding a cute hand bag & bright bold lipstick. No matter how simple my outfit is I feel like adding a bold lipstick color makes my look feel finished.

Get the Look:

Jean cut-offs: Machine Jeans with rhinestone embellishments

Handbag: Betsey Johnson (I found this adorable treasure at Ross)

Graphic Tee: Target

Lipstick color: "Saint Germain" from MAC

Sunglasses: Aldo

Romantic Water Shoot

For a long time now I have been wanting to do a very artistic & romantic photo shoot with my fiance'.  I wasn't sure how to make this happen until I met Lauren Perry of Perrywinkle Photography.  She literally took the little idea I gave her & turned it into magic!!
We did this water shoot at Pineview Resevoir in Huntsville, Utah.  This was a last minute shoot, grabbing clothes I had in my closet, & i'm in love with all of them!  Sometimes the best pictures turn out when they are spur of the moment ideas, especially when you have an amazing photographer like her.
In my opinion, every couple should do at least one photo session together that's romantic & passionate.  It definitely brings you closer as a couple, &  I am going to cherish these forever!

This white maxi dress (I already had in my closet) I found at Ross.  I sometimes find the best treasures at stores like Ross.
I'm obsessed with pointed stilletto nails, especially in a pale pink color
Adhesive strip eye lashes are my go-to for any photo shoot.  They always make your eyes pop & stand out.
My new favorite brand is called Velour Lashes "Whispie Sweet Nothing".
You can order them online at: www.velourlashes.com

I did my own makeup & went for a pale/natural lip color to offset the dark smokey eyes.
Lipstick color is called "Speed Dial" from MAC

Look like America's Sweetheart

I am so excited to have been a part of Closet Candy Boutique's 4th of July Look Book... America's Sweetheart '15.  If you're looking for the perfect outfit for this summer holiday, you need to check them out!  From cute & comfy to something a little more stylized, they have it all!

I'm obsessed with this boho chic style.  White fringe top to go with classic denim shorts.  Adding the side braid to my hair really finished the bohemian themed look.

Add a gold fringe necklace to dress up this look

Looking for something a little more girly?  This maxi dress is perfect for the more girly girl & definitely one of my favorites from the entire shoot.  So comfortable & still sexy at the same time.

Mommy & Me looks available too!

I love this patriotic tank, especially paired with denim cut-off shorts and cowgirl boots!

For the Pin-Up Styled Girl...

Baby you're a Firework Pinstripe Romper in blue & white stripe

Cute Open Back
Ruffle Detail
