Doll Up Darling

I am so excited to share one of my new favorite beauty must-haves!!

The Doll Up Beauty Makeup Case

As a mother, model, & dance performer I am always out & about all day & night.  I end up tossing all my makeup must haves into my purse for touch ups throughout the day, which usually ends in losing half the things I put in there. I think every girl has experienced this & it is super frustrating in my life. Until I came across the Doll Up Beauty Makeup Case!!

This is the first ever multi-tasking makeup case & organizer in a super adorable portable clutch. It has a customizable naked magnetic palette, organizing bands for lipsticks, brushes, etc. & it also comes with a fold down vanity mirror. All of these features in one adorable clutch.
I am literally in love with this product. I use it at home & I especially love it when I am on the go. It is so much easier & cleaner than bringing my bulky & dirty makeup bag with me.

Available in a variety of colors to fit your personality!

I am thrilled to have teamed up with this amazing company & for the entire month of October use the code "Tasha10" at checkout & you will receive 10% off your order!

Mr. & Mrs. Cruz

August 31, 2015 marks one of the best days of my life.  I married my best friend, Trevor Cruz, and I became his wife!  We had an unusual way of getting married & I want to share our wedding story.

Trevor & I always planned on having a simple wedding & we decided we wanted to put our money towards a big honeymoon vacation rather than a traditional wedding.  About a month before our wedding date we recieveed a phone call that changed everything.

Two photographer friends of ours, Amy & Jordan Demos, invited us to be models for their upcoming stylized wedding photoshoot for a workshop they were teaching at.  As a surprise for us, they had arranged a wedding ceremony to be performed at the workshop for Trevor & I to officially become husband & wife.  When we got this phone call we were overwhelmed with emotion!  They proceeded to tell us everything that would be included: A gorgeous wedding dress, shoes, veil & jewelry for me to wear, a suit for Trevor, professional hair & makeup, a wedding planner, flowers, wedding cake, an amazing venue, AND the best part of all.... 16+ photographers to capture every moment for our special day!!!  Could we get any luckier?!

They made our day AMAZING & we did get to see one sneak peek photo taken by Amy & Jordan Demos...

Since this is a stylized shoot that is going to be published in a wedding magazine we aren't able to see or post any photos until it's officially published.  All the photographers are amazing, so I cant wait to see how they turn out!!
Here are a few "Behind the scenes" shots some of the photographers got with their cell phones, though!

Amy & Jordan were our two witnesses!

My dress designer was Reem Acra & Schaffer's Bridal in Scottsdale was the vendor

Fox 10 Phoenix covered our engagment story back in March, & we were surprised when they showed up on our wedding day to cover our unique story!

Suns Dancers Auditions 2015

The Phoenix Suns Dancers Auditions started on Saturday!!!

I am so excited to announce that I am a top 32 finalist & will be auditioning for the rest of the week to hopefully become a Suns Dancer for the 2015-2016 season! I've had a lot of people ask what happens during auditions so I decided to share what's been going on day by day.

Day 1: Saturday started out bright & early since we had a long day ahead.  My fiancĂ© surprised me with beautiful flowers & balloons to wish me good luck!!

Everyone that showed up to audition had to learn a dance routine, then right after perform in groups of 3 for the judges.   We only have about 10 minutes to practice this routine before we split up in groups, so you have to learn quick & perform! By the end of the day they narrowed the large group down to the 48 semi-finalists!

It has been so fun to have one of my friends from Utah, Haley, auditioning this year!

They have photographers at auditions to catch fun action shots all day!

Day 2: The judges made one more cut to bring the group down to the top 32 finalists! All of us were able to have a fun photo shoot to prepare for the upcoming training camp week.

 ~TRAINING CAMP~

Day 3- On Monday we had our first night of training camp & it was INTENSE!!  We started out with a rough workout grim the trainer, Bridget. The workout had a little bit of everything including stadium runs up & down the arena bleachers.
After our workout we learned a sideline routine, then a really fun hip hop dancer from a past Suns Dancer. We will use all the routines we learn this week at our Finals audition.

It's been a crazy fun few days so far & I can't wait for the rest of the week!!

Sweet & Healthy

I have been getting a lot of questions about my fitness work outs & diet so I wanted to share one of my favorite healthy snacks when I'm craving something sweet!!

I have a huge sweet tooth so when I found this healthy snack I was so happy!

Rice cakes are always a great snack so I decided to put my own twist on it.

-I get the plain no salted rice cakes
-spread almond butter on top
-slice up one half a banana (I like raspberries on top too)
-then I also sprinkle almond slivers on top

This is one of my favorite healthy snacks & soooo much better than grabbing a chocolate snickers bar. I always keep these ingredients stocked in my pantry & they are a quick go to snack!

Happy 4th of July!

It has been a busy summer so far, full of lots of traveling! As soon as I got back from Mexico I flew out to Vegas to meet my family for a Vegas-California weekend for the 4th of July holiday. My mom, sister, & I spent one night in Vegas before we drove out to California.

Every time I'm in Vegas I have to stop at the Bellagio to see the fountains. It's my favorite place!

The next day we arrived in California & immediately headed towards the fashion district. I love shopping & this place is a must go for amazing deals!  I could spend days shopping at the fashion district, I found a lot of treasures to take home.

My favorite find though was definitely my Louis Voitton purse. Thanks to my sweet fiancĂ© for picking it out for me!

We also stopped by Downtown Disney our first night in California!

Of course we had to at least try on these cute shirts!

Day 2 in California we decided to head toward somewhere I've always wanted to go.... Six Flags Magic Mountain!!!
I'm a huge thrill seeker & I love roller coasters, so this was probably my favorite day of the trip.

The Superman was definitely my favorite ride!

We took a lot of snapchats while waiting in line!

My Secret: We found & purchased our amusement park tickets on Craigslist before we left & bought them for next to nothing. I highly suggest always looking on Craigslist/Ksl.com if you're ever going to any kind of event including amusement parks, Disneyland, concerts, etc.  This is always my first go-to & I end up saving a lot of money!

On our drive back to Utah for the weekend we stopped for one more night in Vegas to celebrate the 4th. We had an amazing dinner, stopped by the Bellagio Fountains again (of course), watched fireworks that were let off next to Caesars Palace, & Trevor & I even got an original cartoon character drawn of us on the strip.

I feel so lucky to have such an amazing family that I can share fun times like this with. It was a perfect weekend to celebrate one of my favorite holidays!

Exploring the city of Leon

On our third day here we were able to do some sight seeing around the city. Right next to our hotel was the huge el Futbol stadium of the Leon Lions & we were lucky enough to find a man to take us to the roof of the building that over looked the stadium.
This was the biggest stadium I've ever seen! It holds 45,000 people!

All of us on the rooftop overlooking the stadium.

We came across one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. We weren't able to go inside, but the exterior was unreal!

When we were driving on our tour bus we spotted this graffiti wall that went for about a mile down the road & immediately asked our tour guide about it....
He told us that behind this wall was a cemetery & the murals/graffiti were done by people that had a loved one pass away. The cemetery was open & we decided to go inside & check it out. I was expecting a normal looking cemetery & I was surprised when we went through the gates.
The cemetery was filled with people visiting loved ones graves & there was even a funeral going on when we went in.

These walls of graves were located in the entrance of the cemetery

When we turned the corner I saw some of the most amazing grave sites I've ever seen. In the Mexican culture they start out with a simple gravestone & every year they add on to it to turn into these amazing memorials for their loved ones. Some of them looked like mini temple structures.

The City of Leon had many beautiful sites to see!

Mexico- Day 2

It has been a beautiful day in Leon, Mexico!  The weather is absolutely perfect with lots of sunshine.
We started our morning bright & early & headed off to our first performance of the day.

At the event, we were able to perform one of our dances, take pictures, & sign autographs for all the kids in the tournament.

At the end of our event we were interviewed by a local reporter. We are so happy to be in Leon & everyone here is so kind & generous. It's been amazing learning about the Mexican culture.

Shopping Time!!!!

The entire time we've been here we've been dying to go shopping. There are so many little markets on the streets everywhere we go, so of course we couldn't wait to see what they had!

Outside our cruiser that's been taking us all around town!

Making a stop at the soccer stadium for the Club Leon Lions!

We had a late night performance at the end of our day where we danced again & then helped hand out awards to the NBA 5X Tournament winners. This tournament is put on throughout all of Mexico, & the best part is everything for the kids involved is 100% paid for through the NBA organization. Including the tournament, hotels, uniforms, etc. Being able to be a part of this makes me feel very grateful & blessed.
